HAZRAT MAHDI (AS) WILL NOT SHED A SINGLE DROP OF BLOOD, WILL BE PEACEFUL AT ALL TIMES

From Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview with WSRQ Radio, the Captain's America Radio Show, 20 August 2009

Host: We’re gonna be speaking today with Harun Yahya who is the author and the book that comes to mind is the Atlas of Creation. That being said we want to talk about the Mahdi. Can Mr. Yahya explain to us what Mahdi is all about?

Adnan Oktar: Mahdi is a person who will come in the End Times, from the lineage of our Prophet, will act in unison with the Christians to annihilate atheism and irreligion from the world and bring peace and love. He will encourage disarmament all over the world and apply this politics throughout his life. Our Prophet says he will not shed a single drop of blood. He will be such an affectionate person. He will annihilate irreligion in alliance with the Christians. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come in his time. Together with the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), they will dominate the Islamic moral values all over the world.

Host: We are speaking today with the author Harun Yahya through an interpreter. He has written 300 books, in 61 languages, (that reached) 80 million people and his real name is Adnan Oktar. What I want to ask Mr. Oktar (Harun Yahya) is why we have such a radical element of the Islam, why is it that they won’t come out of the fundamentalist belief of the Islamic religion? Have they gone a separate reason, a direction of belief?

Adnan Oktar: The Christian world should not have the slightest worry about this. Mahdi (pbuh) will solve this radically. Our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) mentions such a situation. That the Muslims will be disunited and struggle with each other, a deterioration in the religion would occur, religion will be divided into sects but Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will emerge and unify all sects, and he will be in a peaceful and affectionate activity in the beginning, in the middle and in the end. And this will climax with the coming of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh).

But in the Christian belief, Mahdi (pbuh), who will come in the End Times would be peaceful in the beginning but will turn out to be warmongering. This person described, is the antichrist. We don’t accept this after all. Awaited Mahdi (pbuh) will struggle with this. Because Mahdi (pbuh) is peaceful in the beginning, in the middle and in the end. At no stage Mahdi (pbuh) would make concession from peace, brotherhood and love. And he will not shed a single drop of blood. He will struggle with antichrist along with the Prophet Jesus (pbuh).

Host: All right. We are talking to the Turkish Muslim scholar Harun Yahya, who has authored some 300 books including Islam Denounces Terrorism. I found about him through Gordon Liddy show, Kevin Barret of American Freedom Radio, the Catholic Radio International and an article in Wall Street Journal… Mr. Yahya whose real name is Adnan Oktar, is talking about the Mahdi and the coming of the true meanings of the Mahdi in his own words. I have another question which someone wanted me to ask you: Mahdi being the spiritual leader of the Islamic World, and that Jesus of the Christian world, two of these will be coming together as one, is that what you’re telling me?

Adnan Oktar: Yes. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will perform prayer together. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will push Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) from his shoulders with his beautiful hands to imamate (lead) to perform prayer. They will perform prayer together and from that moment on they will annihilate irreligion, atheism, lovelessness, egoism, selfishness, ambition for material, all malicious ideas together. The Prophet Jesus (pbuh), in unity with the Christians; Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and Muslims will annihilate this unrest and evil thoughts in the world in unity. Together they will bestow humanity a modern, affectionate, compassionate, beautiful world, with the leave of Allah. They will abolish the antichrist way of thinking and insincerity, teach people sincerity and honesty. The characteristic of the antichrist is that, initially he will rise as peaceful only to show his hostile and sanguinary feature later on. But the characteristics of the Prophet Jesus and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) are, they are affectionate and peaceful brothers in the beginning, in the middle and in the end. Our Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) says Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will not shed a single drop of blood, he will not wake those asleep, he will be so compassionate towards people. He will apply social justice. He will distribute the goods to people. People will enter an era of great tranquility and happiness. This is what we call the “Golden Age”. Children will put their fingers to a snakes’ hole and the snake will not bite them. Little children will play with lions, wild animals. Even the aggressiveness of animals will disappear in this period. This is written both in the Gospel and in the hadith.

ADNAN OKTAR: ... That local pressure is most uncomfortable. Insha’Allah, it will be lifted in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). There will be a climate of total freedom and liberty. There will still be irreligious people in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as), and leftists and communists, but they will all live at ease. Nobody will target them. Everyone will respect them, and they will be first-class citizens. Nobody will demand to know why they are communists and say they have no right to life. There will be an extraordinary conception of democracy and freedom in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Nobody will interfere with anyone else. Nobody will speak against anyone for not performing the salat (daily prayer), and even if he does perform the salat, that will still not make him a prophet.

REPORTER: There is in any case no compulsion in our religion, no compulsion at the heart of our religion.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. Almighty Allah has issued a pronouncement, saying, “There is no compulsion in the religion.” That pronouncement is very clear, a verse of the Qur’an. If you bring in compulsion, then hypocrisy arises. OK, the man then prays, but he does so with hatred of you in his heart. What good is that to you? He is not praying for Allah, but for you. The salat is performed for Allah, what good to you is a salat performed for you? Why is the man a hypocrite? Because you put him in the position of a hypocrite. Let him be honest. If he does not pray, then so be it. As simple as that. We are all brothers, whether we cover our heads or not. The slightest compulsion within this system is highly unpleasant and a violation of good conscience. People who do not cover their heads are also first-class Muslims, and those who do cover up are also first-class Muslims. This division needs to be done away with, this pressure needs to be done away with. There can be no question of “our views and our community being the most perfect of all.” Nobody is guaranteed a place in paradise, apart from the prophets. Therefore, saying that such and such a person is a saint is wrong. Allah knows the truth, not us. We may go to paradise, or we may go to hell. We live between hope and fear. That applies to everyone, to me and you and everyone. They say that such and such a person is a saint, but how do they know? They say he is destined for paradise. But how do they know? Insha’Allah, he will go to paradise. We of course want everyone to go to paradise. But it would be wrong to make any absolute pronouncements.

… I really did say such a thing, and I have just said it now, and things have been happening just as I said. They want us to go to war with Iran, and that is new cunning. They have been prowling around Iran. They thought it would be better to have Turkey go to war with them than to waste their own time and money on the task, to set two Muslim sides against one another and thus to avoid any costs themselves. And both sides would become weak. They cunningly calculated that this would make their job even easier.

But we will not fall for that. Iran is our friend and brother. We love Iran. Iran is full of passionate admirers of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Because a great many of them are Turks. Almost half of Iran is Turkish. Even more than half. For example, Ayatollah Shariat Medari is Turkish. Many of their senior commanders are Turkish. Many Iranian troops are Turkish. This plan is a very amateurish one lacking in good conscience. Anyone applauding it is acting disgracefully. What we will do is to strive shoulder to shoulder with Iran against disbelief and madness. Insha’Allah. By Allah’s leave, we will not permit a hair on Iran’s head to be harmed. That is out of the question. They are very dear to us. Theirs is a giant country from end to end, a great country. Its past goes back to the furthest depths of history. Theirs is a noble state, a noble nation. Made up of immaculate Muslims. Such a plan is highly dangerous.

But I have spoken again today. I sent my greetings to President Ahmadinejad. I sent him news. You will see him give excellent addresses, insha’Allah. He will thwart this plan and make very sincere and excellent speeches, by Allah’s leave. He is already doing this, but he will do it even more. For example, he said they would obliterate Israel. All tight, but he corrected himself. Because the destruction of Israel (referring to ateist Zionist ideology) is to be done with ideas, with love, affection, compassion and friendship, not with bombs, blood and guns. That is how you will destroy it.

We have immaculate Jewish brothers there. And Christian brothers and Muslim brothers. Why should those places, holy places, be destroyed? There is the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque. There are the tombs of the prophets. These are places that must be scrupulously protected. There are lovely Jewish children with their long ringlets there and immaculate Palestinian youngsters. A child could tell you that no such thing will happen there. They will be scrupulously protected and watched over.

Pointing to Iran all the time is a ruse. Saying it will bomb and attack others. No such thing will happen. He made a slip of the tongue but then corrected it, and will correct it still further. I requested him, insha’Allah. People will see this in the coming days, insha’Allah. That is why Iran is a source of love, affection and compassion and has always adopted a defensive policy to date. Iran will not attack anyone. Iraq attacked it, and they then defended themselves. Iran is not a country with a thirst for war. Spilling blood is a sin. Using the atom bomb is a sin in Shiite belief, Sunni belief and Jaferite belief. They will never do such a thing. But if it is going to make use of nuclear energy, let it. So what? All countries use nuclear energy. Are there any countries that do not use nuclear energy? Let them use it, too, insha’Allah.

If it is to make an atom bomb, Israel already has atom bomb. India and Pakistan and Russia all have atom bomb. America has a mass of nuclear weapons. France has them. Italy has the atom bomb. The problem is one of eliminating all those nuclear weapons. In the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) there will be no hydrogen bombs or atom bombs. They will all be eliminated and it will be an age of total peace and brotherhood. Only plastic guns might be left around for children to play with. There will be no need even for them. They get children thinking of bad things. By Allah’s leave there will not even be any cap guns left. We used to have plastic water pistols when we were children that we filled up and squirted one another with. There will not even be any need for water pistols. Because they remind one of weapons and will also be eliminated. Insha’Allah. By Allah’s leave.
